Homer Snow:
Homer Snow who has been healthy as a horse has had some good news, then bad
news and then more good news. Around Halloween 2008 he had shingles. And
that is the good news because subsequent test revealed the possibility of
lung cancer-- bad news. Additional tests validated the cancer and just last
week Homer’s right lung was removed. The good news is that the cancer was
contained in that lung. He is home now and doing very well according to
classmate and wife, Jackie (Steele) Snow. [Reported by Tommy Smith; posted

Steve Calaway:
In early July at the insistence of his wife, Jackie, Steve
went to the doctor for a check-up. While he was having an EKG, he had a
big-time heart attack. He had quad by-passes and a couple of stents. For a
few days it was “touch and go.” Results of the EKG indicated that he had
had 3 or more heart attacks rather recently. He is now in rehab undergoing
physical therapy. Steve is improving daily. His heart problems are vastly
improved, but his current problems involve gout. He probably will be
released in a few days. [Posted 8/6/08. Source: Tommy Smith]
